There are many Photo Reference books available. Here are a few that I enjoy to surf through when I have nothing else to do.
PhotoLab Index, This has a lot of formulas & good info from the manufacturers.
These are not easy to find & maybe overkill. My copy is from my birth year.
We all know who Ansel Adams is. This is his five book essay on Photography as Adams sees it.
Without a doubt, one of the best sources on the Zone System, Ansel's very controlled process of "pre visualizing the relationship between the light of a scene, 7 the necessary chemical control needed to translate the light to silver halide. Good books, though very technical.
I am sure that this book is still in print with all the love still there by traditional photographers & the Leica cameras
. All you ever wanted to know about these fine photographic machines.
A light, almost humorous publication from 1976 (my copy). The whole earth catalogue of photography. We are a long way from this publication today, although much of photography is timeless. By
the way, I threw all of my bell bottoms away.
