I selected a few examples of point of purchase advertising (cards for retails store) because not only are they interesting to look at, but they illustrate how Photographic Companies used pictures of things and people to illustrate their ideas of the culture as well as their product offerings. Pictures were and continue to be the strongest way of conveying an idea, emotion or vertually anything to all classes of people in any society.
